California, United States, April 2026 — American technology and automotive company Lucid Motors Group has announced the appointment of Silvio Napoli as its next Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors. He will relocate from Switzerland to the United States to assume the role. Marc Winterhoff, who has been serving as interim CEO, will transition to the position of Chief Operating Officer once Napoli takes office.
Before joining Lucid Motors, Silvio Napoli built a distinguished career at Schindler Group, where he spent more than three decades across a broad range of senior leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Executive Chairman & CEO, after also holding the role of Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Supervisory and Strategy Committee. Earlier, he was CEO of the group, further strengthening his profile as a global business leader with deep operational and governance experience.
Prior to becoming CEO, he was a Member of the Schindler Group Executive Committee (APAC), reflecting his leadership experience across key international markets. His wider career at Schindler Group also included various functions across Europe, India, South-East Asia, China, and America, highlighting broad cross-regional exposure and long-standing experience in multinational business leadership.
Alongside his executive career, Silvio Napoli has also served on the Board of Directors of Eaton since 2019, adding further governance depth to his profile. He also held the role of Chairman & President, Board of Directors at the Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce, reflecting his active engagement in international business leadership and transatlantic corporate relations.
He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and is a Fulbright Scholar, adding strong academic distinction to a leadership journey shaped by governance, strategy, international operations, and executive management. His appointment at Lucid Motors Group comes at a significant moment for the company as it continues to focus on electric vehicle innovation and the broader shift toward clean energy.
