New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada, December 2024 – Slavica Petkovic has been appointed as the Director People, BC at Yorkville University. In this role, Slavica will lead HR operations and strategies for the university’s British Columbia campus, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. Her extensive experience in HR leadership will contribute significantly to Yorkville University’s mission of delivering excellence in education.
Slavica Petkovic joins Yorkville University from WildBrain, where she served as Talent Manager for over two years. In this role, she focused on talent assessment and management, ensuring the alignment of workforce strategies with organizational objectives.

Before WildBrain, Slavica spent six years at Creation Technologies, where she served as People & Culture Leader – HQ. During her tenure, she demonstrated expertise in regulatory compliance, workforce planning, HR strategy, and leadership, establishing robust HR frameworks to support business growth.
Her prior experience includes four years as Head of HR/Training at Trans Canada Flow Tolling, Inc., where she led HR policy formulation, training and development, and workforce planning. She also served as HR Manager at Day4 Energy Inc., where she implemented comprehensive HR strategies and operations to align with corporate goals.
Earlier in her career, Slavica worked as HR Coordinator at Hain-Celestial Canada, ULC, where she developed foundational skills in HR operations and employee relations.
