Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, July 2025 – Smita Holey has been promoted to President at Shilpa Medicare Limited, reinforcing her pivotal leadership within the organization. In this elevated role, she will lead the company’s international operations and strategic direction across the ROW (Rest of the World) markets, driving customer acquisition and expanding Shilpa Medicare’s footprint in regulated global territories.
Smita has been associated with Shilpa Medicare Limited for over two and a half years, previously serving as Executive Vice President – Head, International ROW Markets. In this role, she played a key role in strategic planning, global business development, and strengthening customer relationships in emerging and regulated markets.
Prior to joining Shilpa Medicare, she worked with Cadila Pharmaceuticals Limited for over five years, where she held progressive leadership roles including Executive Vice President, Vice President, and Associate Vice President within the International Strategic Business Unit. Her efforts in strategic planning and customer acquisition significantly contributed to Cadila’s global outreach.
Earlier, Smita served as Vice President, International Business Development at Rusan Pharma Ltd for more than four years, where she was responsible for expanding global operations and alliances. Before that, she worked with Sri Krishna Pharmaceuticals Ltd. as Senior Manager – International Marketing, and Garware Technical Fibres Limited as International Sales Manager, strengthening her expertise in international business across multiple sectors.
