In her new role, Whitney will drive Amtrak’s brand vision, shape the customer experience, and lead marketing strategies to further connect communities across the country.

Prior to joining Amtrak, Whitney ran her own consultancy, Wordsmith Brand Marketing Communications, advising clients on brand identity, strategic marketing, and integrated campaigns. Her recent leadership as Chief Marketing Officer at Arch Amenities Group saw her overseeing brand development, digital innovation, and team management for a national hospitality leader.

Whitney also held key executive roles with Elmwood Brand Consultancy as Executive Director, Growth, and with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts as Group Vice President of Marketing and Vice President Marketing, where she played a pivotal role in building award-winning loyalty programs, brand campaigns, and customer engagement strategies.

Her career includes impactful stints at global agencies and organizations including Wilkinson Ferrari & Co., MRM//McCann, O.C. Tanner, and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, where she managed multifaceted brand and communications projects. Whitney’s expertise spans commercial marketing, campaign execution, communications planning, team leadership, and enabling brands to thrive in fast-changing markets.
