Before joining Bearing Man Group (Pty) Ltd t/a BMG, Solly Mathebula served as Chief People Officer at DPD Laser, where he led the people agenda for the business. Prior to that, he worked at HEINEKEN Beverages as Head of HR, contributing to HR leadership in a major beverages business environment.
Earlier, he served as Head of HR at Danone Southern Africa, where he further built his leadership experience in people strategy, organizational development, and business-aligned HR management. These roles across well-known organizations strengthened his profile as a senior HR leader with broad cross-sector experience and a strong understanding of people and business priorities.
Before these leadership assignments, Solly Mathebula held the role of Senior Employee Relations Specialist at Afrox and served as Group Employee Relation Manager at Enviroserv Waste Management. In these roles, he developed strong expertise in employee relations and workforce management, adding further depth to his HR leadership foundation.
Earlier in his career, he was Regional Human Resources Manager at the National Health Laboratory Service, Director: Transformation at Bidair Services (Pty) Ltd, Project Manager Transformation at the Auditor-General of South Africa, and Skills Development Facilitator at Public SETA. Across these assignments, he built substantial experience in transformation, human resources management, employee relations, and capability development, shaping a career that has steadily progressed into senior people leadership roles.
