New Delhi, India, February 2025 – Oliver Wyman, a global leader in management consulting, has appointed Sumit Sarawgi as India Head, marking a new chapter in the firm’s expansion in the country. With over two decades of experience in strategic consulting, business transformation, and digital innovation, Sumit brings deep expertise in driving large-scale turnarounds and operational excellence.
Sumit joins Oliver Wyman from Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he served as Managing Director and Senior Partner for over 11 years. His leadership was pivotal in shaping TMT (Tech, Media, and Telecom) strategy, digital transformation, and high-impact business growth initiatives. As he takes on this new role, Sumit will be instrumental in expanding Oliver Wyman’s footprint in India, driving client success, and enhancing the firm’s consulting capabilities.
Before joining Oliver Wyman, Sumit Sarawgi spent nearly 17 years at BCG, holding key leadership roles such as Managing Director & Senior Partner, Principal, and Project Leader. During this tenure, he played a crucial role in driving digital strategy, business transformation, and large-scale margin improvement programs.
Prior to BCG, Sumit was Engagement Director at Everest Group, where he led strategy and transformation projects for global enterprises. He also held key positions at A.T. Kearney, where he gained hands-on experience in business growth, digital innovation, and market expansion strategies.
Sumit holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Management (PGDCM) in Strategy, Finance, and Systems from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
