New Delhi, India, May 2026 — SJVN has announced that the Ministry of Power has entrusted Suprakash Adhikari, currently serving as Director (Technical) at NHPC Limited, with the additional charge of Director (Projects).
This strategic appointment reflects Mr. Adhikari’s extensive technical leadership, project execution capabilities, and decades-long expertise in India’s hydroelectric and energy infrastructure sectors.
Suprakash Adhikari brings over 35 years of experience with NHPC Limited, where he has held progressively senior leadership roles across technical operations, hydroelectric project execution, design, and maintenance. Prior to this new assignment, he served as Executive Director, overseeing operations and maintenance of NHPC’s hydro plants while also heading Design (E&M) functions.
Earlier in his distinguished career, he served as Group General Manager, Chief Engineer, and held critical project leadership responsibilities, including heading major hydroelectric installations such as the Nimboo Bazgo Power Station in Ladakh.
His proven leadership across engineering design, power generation operations, strategic technical management, and infrastructure development positions him strongly to support SJVN’s growing national and international project portfolio.
