Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, June 2025 — Suruj Dutta has joined KPMG as Partner in Abu Dhabi, bringing over two decades of global experience to strengthen the firm’s Financial Services Advisory practice. His appointment underscores KPMG’s commitment to driving transformation and innovation for financial institutions across the Middle East.
Suruj joins KPMG from EY, where he most recently served as Partner and Leader for Payments and Financial Services Digital within the Banking and Capital Markets division. There, he played a pivotal role in building strategic digital capabilities and advising clients on eKYC, ecosystem design, and fintech innovation.
Previously, he spent close to a decade at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), holding progressive leadership positions including Partner, Principal, and Project Leader. During this time, Suruj advised global banks, regulators, and digital players across the UK, UAE, and Hong Kong on growth strategies, regulatory readiness, and digital transformation initiatives.
His earlier career included consulting roles at Capgemini, Bridgewater Systems, Tektronix, and technical roles at Vodafone and Nortel Networks, reflecting a strong foundation in telecom and digital infrastructure consulting.
At KPMG, Suruj will focus on helping financial services clients reimagine customer experiences, accelerate AI- and cloud-powered transformation, and modernize legacy operating models through cutting-edge digital solutions. Backed by an MBA from London Business School and a Master’s in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech, he brings a rare blend of strategic vision and technical depth to KPMG’s leadership in the region.
