Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States, August 2025 – Syria Rule has been appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer – BHC/Ambulatory at Broward Health. In this elevated role, she will oversee HR strategy, employee engagement, and talent management across ambulatory and community care services, supporting Broward Health’s mission of delivering high-quality, patient-centered healthcare.
Rule has been with Broward Health for more than four years. Most recently, she served as Regional Human Resources Manager, where she managed HR operations, employee relations, and talent strategies, contributing to workforce development across the system.
Previously, she spent nearly a decade with Tenet Florida Physician Services, where she held several leadership roles. As Director of Human Resources, she oversaw HR policies, benefits administration, employee advocacy, labor relations, and performance improvement programs. Before that, she worked as HR Manager, HR Business Partner, and HR Generalist, progressively building expertise in employee relations, compensation, onboarding, and compliance.
Earlier in her career, Rule served at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine for nearly 10 years. She worked as HR Specialist and Faculty Recruiter, where she led physician and faculty recruitment efforts, workforce administration, and employee orientation initiatives, gaining strong experience in academic healthcare HR.
She holds a Master of Management in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration from St. Thomas University, which has equipped her with advanced skills in HR strategy, organizational development, and people management.
