Atlanta, Georgia, United States, October 2025 – Ryan Specialty, a global leader in specialty insurance solutions, has announced the appointment of Tandeka Nomvete as Head of Early Talent Recruitment and University Relations. In this role, Tandeka will lead the company’s strategy to attract, engage, and develop the next generation of insurance and risk management professionals, fostering strong partnerships with universities and early career programs to build a sustainable talent pipeline.
Tandeka Nomvete brings over a decade of experience in university relations, talent acquisition, stakeholder engagement, and student development across the insurance and risk management sectors.
Prior to joining Ryan Specialty, she served as Director of External Engagement at the Spencer Educational Foundation for over three years, where she led stakeholder engagement across the U.S. and Canada. Her responsibilities included managing relationships with corporate partners, educational institutions, and industry associations, as well as overseeing Spencer’s student programs such as internship grants, mentorship initiatives, and the Spencer Virtual Campus. Her efforts significantly strengthened industry partnerships and advanced the foundation’s mission to support the next generation of risk management and insurance leaders.
Earlier, Tandeka was Director of College Recruiting, QGrads Division at Questpro, where she connected top university talent with opportunities across the risk management and insurance industries. She also served as Director of Chapter Engagement at Gamma Iota Sigma, overseeing engagement for over 80 collegiate chapters and enhancing leadership development and student employability across North America.
Tandeka began her career at Marsh, one of the world’s leading insurance brokers and risk advisors, where she held multiple roles including AVP, Associate Account Executive and TRAC Associate. Her early professional journey equipped her with deep expertise in client management, property and casualty insurance, and risk analysis across diverse industries.
