Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, December 2024 – Tarun Kumar has joined SunSource Energy as Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Kumar will oversee the company’s financial strategy, treasury, risk management, and compliance to drive growth and operational excellence for the renewable energy leader.
Before joining SunSource Energy, Tarun Kumar worked as a freelance Business Consultant, managing high-profile projects in M&A strategy, financial due diligence, and post-acquisition integration for clients in the energy and pharmaceutical sectors. Notable assignments included integrating an energy company in Bangladesh and supporting leveraged acquisitions in the pharmaceutical industry.

Kumar also served as Senior Business Partner Finance at SHV Energy, where he contributed to financial planning and strategy in the Netherlands. Prior to this, he spent 14 years at SUPERGAS (SHV Energy Pvt Ltd.) as Chief Financial Officer, where he managed fund allocation, mergers and acquisitions, ERP implementation, taxation, and risk management for one of India’s leading LPG distribution companies.
Earlier in his career, Kumar held roles at Energy Solutions International (India) Pvt. Ltd. and Merbanc Financial Services Limited, where he gained expertise in project finance and financial management.
