Thavy Read Promoted to Chief Human Resources Officer at GFO-X

Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR, April 2025 – Thavy Read has been promoted to Chief Human Resources Officer at GFO-X, the UK’s first regulated and centrally cleared trading venue dedicated to digital asset derivatives. In this expanded role, she will lead HR strategy and operations, including policy development, employee engagement, and fostering a transparent and positive workplace culture.

Thavy Read has been associated with GFO-X for nearly four years, having joined the company in 2021. She first served as Head of Recruitment, later advancing to Head of Human Resources, and now stepping into the role of Chief Human Resources Officer. During her tenure, she has played a pivotal role in establishing a high-performance HR function aligned with the company’s growth trajectory in the digital asset sector.

Prior to GFO-X, Thavy worked as Recruitment Manager, Asia at DLA Piper, where she oversaw talent acquisition strategies across multiple Asia offices. Her leadership supported the legal giant’s expansion in key markets across the region.

She also served as Resourcing Manager, APAC at White & Case LLP, managing cross-border hiring efforts and contributing to the firm’s global growth strategy. Her experience there included working with top-tier legal talent and streamlining APAC recruiting operations.

Earlier in her career, she held senior recruiting and leadership roles at Bloomberg, Talent2, and Robert Walters, where she led hiring initiatives across industries ranging from media to finance, consumer goods, and IT. She began her career as a Business Development Manager at International AutoSource, showcasing her early leadership and client management strengths.
