New York, New York, United States, July 2026 — Pfizer has appointed Tingting Zhang-Kharas as Vice President, Search & Evaluation, Oncology, strengthening its oncology business development and innovation leadership. In her new role, she will lead the search, evaluation, and assessment of external oncology innovations, partnerships, and strategic opportunities that will help advance Pfizer’s oncology pipeline and accelerate the development of transformative therapies for patients worldwide.
Prior to joining Pfizer, Tingting served as Head, JLABS US Northeast, External Scientific Innovation at Johnson & Johnson, where she led all aspects of JLABS operations across the US Northeast. She was responsible for supporting startup incubation, fostering scientific innovation, building strategic partnerships, and strengthening the regional life sciences ecosystem through collaboration with entrepreneurs, investors, academic institutions, and biotechnology companies.
Before Johnson & Johnson, Tingting held senior oncology innovation leadership positions at Ipsen, serving as Senior Director, Head of Oncology External Innovation and previously Senior Director, Oncology External Innovation, where she led external innovation strategy and partnership opportunities for the company’s oncology portfolio. Earlier, she was Director, Search and Evaluation at Loxo Oncology at Lilly and spent more than five years with Eli Lilly and Company as Advisor/Director – Oncology External Innovation, leading the evaluation of emerging oncology assets, strategic collaborations, licensing opportunities, and business development initiatives. During this period, she also served as a National Cancer Institute (NCI) SBIR Program Mentor, advising early-stage life sciences companies on commercialization and business development strategies.
Earlier in her career, Tingting was Licensing Manager at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where she focused on commercializing oncology diagnostics, therapeutics, and medical technologies while facilitating academic-industry partnerships and startup creation. She also worked as a Senior Consultant at Navigant (formerly Easton Associates) and Senior Associate Consultant at Easton Associates, advising pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies on market strategy, pipeline evaluation, and product commercialization. Tingting began her professional journey in scientific research, earning a Ph.D. in Immunology from Harvard Medical School, where her research contributed to advances in antibody development and immunology, following earlier research experience at the National Institute of Biological Sciences, Beijing.
With over 20 years of experience spanning oncology, biotechnology, pharmaceutical innovation, business development, licensing, technology commercialization, and scientific research, Tingting has built an exceptional career at the intersection of science and strategic innovation.
