New York, United States, April 2025 – Tom Puthiyamadam has joined Grant Thornton (US) as the National Managing Principal for Advisory Services and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. In this strategic leadership role, Tom will help shape the firm’s national advisory offerings while also contributing to its global advisory growth through a transatlantic model spanning over 50 offices across the US, Ireland, and other key regions.
Prior to this appointment, Tom spent nearly 28 years at PwC, where he held several senior leadership roles, including Transformation Consulting Leader, Global & US Digital Consulting Leader, and Global Customer Practice Leader. At PwC, he spearheaded large-scale digital transformation programs across industries, launched global Experience Centers, and led the development of PwC’s consulting products business. His tenure was marked by a deep focus on client-centric innovation, digital acceleration, and building capabilities across global teams.

From 2021 to 2025, Tom served as PwC’s Transformation Consulting Leader, overseeing enterprise-wide, digital-powered transformation strategies. Before that, he led PwC’s consumer markets consulting vertical, driving growth across retail, consumer goods, travel, and hospitality sectors. Between 2014 and 2018, he built and scaled PwC’s Experience Centers and developed the proprietary BXT (Business, Experience, Technology) framework, which remains a cornerstone of the firm’s consulting methodology.
Earlier in his career, Tom launched and led PwC’s Global Customer Practice, turning it into a billion-dollar business. His journey at PwC began in 1997, progressing from intern to associate to director, and eventually becoming one of the most influential leaders within the firm’s global consulting business.
