Toronto, Ontario, Canada – October 2024 – Tricia Banfield has been appointed as Director Talent Management at TVO, where she will drive a comprehensive, sustainable talent strategy throughout the employee lifecycle. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, Banfield will focus on creating a high-performing, adaptable workforce aligned with the organization’s strategic vision.
Prior to TVO, Banfield served at Legal Aid Ontario for over 11 years. As the Manager of Talent & Organizational Development, she led a team of eight HR professionals and oversaw the entire employee experience, including recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, and workforce planning. Notable projects included developing remote work policies, expanding mentoring programs, and leading the transition to a hoteling model of work. Before this role, she was the Manager of Learning and Development, where she developed strategic learning initiatives and an executive succession pipeline for 1,000 employees across the province.
Earlier, Banfield worked as a Learning and Development Consultant at Legal Aid Ontario for over three years. In this capacity, she assessed management training needs, designed development strategies, managed 360 feedback processes, and launched online orientation modules to ensure consistency across the province.
Previously, Banfield was a Training and Quality Consultant at ManpowerGroup, where she managed a training curriculum for 250 employees, ensuring process consistency across 50 branches. She also designed onboarding and mentoring programs that significantly reduced turnover. Her earlier experience includes roles at CIBC Mellon as a Training and Organizational Development Specialist, and at Fidelity Investments as a Training Specialist, where she provided technical training support.
