Tŷ Hafan Welcomes Irfon Rees as New Chief Executive Starting June

Tŷ Hafan, the renowned charity dedicated to providing care and support to children and families, has proudly announced the appointment of Irfon Rees as its new Chief Executive, effective from June. With a rich background in leading diverse teams across the UK Government, Welsh Government, and NHS Wales, Rees brings a wealth of experience to his new role at the charity. Prior to his appointment, he served as the Director of Health and Wellbeing in Welsh Government, playing a pivotal role in the NHS in Wales’ Executive Team.

Martin Davies, Tŷ Hafan’s Chairman, expressed his enthusiasm for Rees’s upcoming tenure, highlighting the significant impact his leadership and strategic guidance are anticipated to have on the charity’s operations and its mission to assist families during challenging times. “We are delighted that Irfon is joining us. His extensive experience in the health sector, providing strategic direction and delivering operational efficiency will be of enormous benefit to the Charity as we continue to provide much needed care and support to children and families in challenging times,” Davies remarked.

Irfon Rees shared his excitement about his new journey with Tŷ Hafan, recognizing the critical work the charity undertakes and expressing his commitment to furthering its mission. “I am delighted to be taking on this role and looking forward to working with the fantastic team at Tŷ Hafan. It is such a special charity and there is much to do to ensure it can continue to go from strength to strength in supporting the children and families who need the care it provides,” Rees stated.
