Vaidehi Sharma Elevated to GM, National Lead – Corporate Communications at Airtel

New Delhi, India, July 2026 —Airtel has elevated Vaidehi Sharma to the position of General Manager, National Lead – Corporate Communications (B2C). In her expanded role, she will lead corporate communications for the company’s consumer business, driving external reputation management, executive positioning, strategic media engagement, and integrated communications that reinforce Airtel’s leadership in quality, innovation, and customer-first experiences across India’s rapidly evolving digital ecosystem.

With nearly two decades of experience in corporate communications, marketing, employer branding, integrated campaigns, digital strategy, and stakeholder engagement, Vaidehi Sharma has built a strong reputation for shaping impactful narratives and strengthening brand perception. Her elevation recognizes her significant contributions to Airtel’s communications strategy and her ability to align business objectives with compelling storytelling and reputation management.

Prior to this elevation, Vaidehi Sharma served as Head – Internal Communications & Employer Branding at Airtel, where she transformed internal communications into a strategic business function that helped shape organizational culture, strengthen leadership communication, and build employee advocacy across a workforce of more than 24,000 employees. She also led the development of Airtel’s employer value proposition, #BeLimitless, delivering award-winning employer branding campaigns that enhanced employee engagement and positioned the organization as an employer of choice.

Before joining Airtel, Vaidehi Sharma held several marketing and communications leadership roles at IBM, where she managed global campaigns, account-based marketing, and worldwide digital marketing initiatives across multiple geographies. She also worked with Lenovo, following the transition of IBM’s x86 business, leading global marketing execution for enterprise systems. Earlier in her career, she gained experience in executive search and talent consulting with The Corner Office and Positive Moves, and completed internships with CNN-IBN and Corner Book Store, building a diverse foundation across communications, marketing, and business strategy.
