Gurugram, Haryana, India, June 2026 — Varun Sharma has joined McCain Foods as Director – Supply Chain Management, bringing more than two decades of experience in supply chain leadership, logistics, distribution, transportation management, inventory planning, and large-scale retail operations. In his new role, he will be responsible for strengthening supply chain capabilities, driving operational excellence, enhancing distribution efficiency, and supporting McCain Foods’ growth strategy across its markets.
Prior to joining McCain Foods, Varun served as Vice President and Group Supply Chain Head at Mrs. Bectors Food Specialities Ltd. (Cremica and English Oven), where he led end-to-end supply chain operations across the organization. Before that, he spent nearly eight years with Reliance Retail, holding several senior leadership positions, including Assistant Vice President – Supply Chain, Head – Distribution and Logistics (JioMart), and General Manager & Head – Transport, Grocery. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in building and scaling logistics networks, strengthening retail distribution systems, and supporting the rapid growth of omni-channel retail operations.
Earlier in his career, Varun spent more than a decade with Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd., where he progressed through multiple supply chain leadership roles, ultimately serving as Deputy General Manager – Supply Chain. He managed large-scale manufacturing, warehousing, procurement, transportation, and distribution operations supporting Domino’s Pizza’s expanding restaurant network. His expertise in cold-chain logistics, network optimization, inventory management, and supply chain technology implementation contributed significantly to operational efficiency and business growth.
Before moving into large-scale retail and food manufacturing leadership, Varun held operational and management roles with Pulse Foods, Cafe Coffee Day, Baskin Robbins, and Bakers Circle India and the Middle East, building a strong foundation in operations management, customer service, logistics, and business administration. With extensive experience across FMCG, food services, retail, e-commerce, and consumer products, he has developed deep expertise in supply chain transformation, transportation strategy, warehouse operations, and distribution network design.
