Dubai, United Arab Emirates, May 2026 — Jumbo Group has announced the appointment of Paul Thachil as its new Chief Executive Officer, bringing more than three decades of leadership experience across consumer products, food and beverages, FMCG, retail, and business transformation. In his new role, Paul will lead the strategic growth and expansion of the group, strengthening its position as one of the Middle East’s leading consumer electronics, retail, and distribution organizations.
Before joining Jumbo Group, Paul spent over 16 years with IFFCO Group, where he held key leadership positions including Managing Director – Oils and Fats and CEO – Consumer Products. During his tenure, he led large-scale consumer businesses, drove market expansion initiatives, strengthened brand portfolios, and delivered business growth across multiple international markets. His leadership contributed significantly to the development of consumer-focused strategies, operational excellence, and sustainable business performance.
Prior to IFFCO Group, Paul served as CEO – Dairy & Foods at Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable Pvt. Ltd, where he played an important role in expanding the company’s dairy and food businesses. Earlier in his career, he spent over a decade with Unilever, serving as Marketing Manager – Lakmé, gaining extensive experience in brand management, consumer marketing, category development, and business leadership. His diverse experience across FMCG, food, retail, and consumer businesses has established him as a respected leader known for driving transformation and long-term value creation.
With extensive expertise in strategic leadership, consumer markets, business growth, brand development, and operational management, Paul Thachil is well-positioned to lead Jumbo Group through its next phase of innovation, regional expansion, and customer-centric growth.
