Gurugram, Haryana, India, June 2026 – Priyanka Sharma has been promoted to Senior Vice President & Head – Talent, HRBP & Sustainability at Niva Bupa Health Insurance, marking a significant milestone in her distinguished human resources leadership journey. In her expanded role, she will lead the organization’s talent strategy, HR business partnering, leadership development, employee engagement, organizational development, and sustainability agenda as Niva Bupa continues to strengthen its position as one of India’s leading health insurance companies.

Priyanka has been associated with Niva Bupa Health Insurance for more than four years and has played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s people and culture agenda. Prior to this elevation, she served as Vice President & Head – Talent, HRBP & Sustainability, and earlier as Vice President – Talent Management, Leadership and Organization Development and Deputy Vice President – Talent Management & OD. Throughout her tenure, she has been instrumental in building talent management frameworks, leadership development initiatives, employee engagement programs, succession planning processes, and organizational capability-building efforts.

At Niva Bupa, Priyanka has led several strategic initiatives including talent pipeline development, leadership behavior integration, top talent identification and development programs, employee engagement interventions, and well-being initiatives. She has also partnered closely with business leaders and key stakeholders to foster a culture of growth, collaboration, and continuous development across the organization. Her contributions have helped strengthen leadership capability and create a high-performance workplace culture.

Before joining Niva Bupa, Priyanka built a successful career at Schneider Electric, where she spent more than six years across multiple talent and HR leadership roles. As Global Talent Partner & Senior HRBP, she led talent management for the company’s Global Procurement function while serving as HR Business Partner for teams across East Asia, Japan, South America, and the Pacific region. Earlier, as Associate General Manager – Talent Management & OD, she drove talent review processes, succession planning, executive coaching, mentoring programs, and leadership development journeys for critical business functions across India.

Her experience at Schneider Electric also included leadership development consulting, learning strategy design, and deployment of enterprise-wide capability-building initiatives. She played a key role in redesigning leadership programs, implementing talent development frameworks, and supporting organizational transformation initiatives that aligned people capabilities with business objectives.

Earlier in her career, Priyanka held leadership positions with Amway India Enterprise and Right Management, where she gained extensive expertise in leadership assessment, talent development, employee engagement, mentoring, organizational effectiveness, and change management. She worked closely with senior leaders across industries to design competency frameworks, conduct talent assessments, implement engagement strategies, and drive leadership capability development programs.

Academically, Priyanka holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from Delhi University and has completed the Transforming Schneider Leadership – Leadership in Turbulent Times executive program at INSEAD, further strengthening her expertise in leadership and organizational transformation.

Her promotion reflects Niva Bupa’s confidence in her ability to lead its people and sustainability agenda at a time when organizations are increasingly focused on building future-ready talent, purpose-driven cultures, and sustainable business practices.
