His transition into the role began with the company’s Sales Kickoff event, offering deep insights into Snowflake’s market leadership. Over the past few weeks, he has immersed himself in onboarding, engaging with customers and colleagues, and exploring the full potential of Snowflake’s platform to drive transformative business outcomes.
In his new role, Vasudeva has actively participated in the Snowflake Partner Network and Data for Breakfast events across Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru, witnessing the immense opportunities ahead. A highlight of his journey was meeting Snowflake’s founders, Benoit Dageville and Thierry Cruanes, whose vision and leadership have been truly inspiring. With the strong support of the Snowflake leadership team, he is eager to contribute to the company’s continued success in data cloud innovation and expansion.
Before joining Snowflake, Vasudeva served at Zendesk for nearly four years. He joined the company in 2021 to lead the enterprise business in India and was subsequently promoted to RVP Sales, India. Under his leadership, the region saw significant growth, including a 40% rise in bookings, strategic account acquisitions, and strengthened customer engagement. He implemented a use-case-driven sales approach and maintained an impressively low attrition rate by focusing on team development and enablement.
Prior to Zendesk, he held pivotal roles at Salesforce, Oracle, and SAP. At Salesforce, he served as Regional Sales Director, where he played a transformative role in scaling the Service Cloud business in India, driving 130% growth in bookings and improving new logo acquisition. At Oracle, he served in various leadership capacities, including Sales Director – CX West, and helped secure major wins in BFSI, Hospitality, and Telco sectors. His stint at SAP saw him spearheading revenue generation for the Telecom and Mobility segments and establishing successful business strategies for large enterprises across India.
Earlier in his career, Vasudeva was associated with Quest Software, Experian India, Tata Consultancy Services, and Sierra Atlantic, where he managed key regional sales roles, developed market entry strategies, and led high-performing teams. His contributions across these organizations have equipped him with a well-rounded perspective on enterprise sales, business development, and data-driven transformation.
