Bhadreswar, Gujarat, India, August 2025 — Veerendra Vainsla has been appointed as the HR Head at Jindal Power Limited (JPL). With over 17 years of diverse experience in human resource management across automotive and heavy engineering manufacturing, he will lead JPL’s human capital strategy at a crucial phase of its growth. His expertise spans employee and industrial relations, organizational development, payroll and statutory compliance, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee engagement, training, HRMS implementation, and EHS initiatives.
Prior to joining Jindal Power, Veerendra served as AGM – HR (HR Head) at MAT Holdings, Inc., where he was responsible for strategic HR operations, industrial relations, and workforce management. Earlier, he contributed as Senior HR Head at Varel Energy Solutions, playing a critical role in organizational development, mergers & acquisitions, compliance management, and large-scale workforce transitions. His longest tenure was at Sabohema Automotive Private Limited as DGM – HR, where he spearheaded HR transformation, compliance frameworks, compensation management, plant HR operations, and organizational culture development for nearly 12 years.
Veerendra also gained valuable HR and IR experience during his stints with Tube Investments of India Ltd., LPS Group, Caparo Engineering India Ltd., and Kajaria Ceramics Ltd. Over his career, he has played an active role in setting up HR and operational frameworks for both Greenfield and Brownfield projects, showcasing his ability to align HR practices with business transformation.
An alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur, where he completed PGCHRM, Veerendra specialized in organizational behavior, HR strategy, change management, PMS, training & development, labor laws, and HR analytics. This academic foundation, coupled with his hands-on industry experience, positions him strongly to lead JPL’s workforce strategies, employee engagement, and HR innovations, aligning with the company’s ambitious vision in the power sector.
