Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, June 2025 – Vijesh Thota has begun his new role as Executive Director & Chief Financial Officer at Reliance Infrastructure. In this capacity, Vijesh will lead the financial strategy for the company, steering its capital allocation, treasury, and risk management practices while supporting the group’s continued expansion in infrastructure, energy, and defense sectors.
For the past three years at Reliance Infrastructure, Vijesh has served as Chief Financial Officer, where he has played a pivotal role in enhancing financial performance and driving operational efficiency across the organization’s vast portfolio. His expertise in finance, capital markets, and business transformation has contributed to sustained growth and resilience for the company during a period of significant industry change.
Before joining Reliance Infrastructure, Vijesh was Chief Financial Officer at Reliance Capital | Reliance Group. In this leadership role, he provided financial oversight and strategic direction, strengthening governance frameworks and ensuring robust compliance across the group’s financial entities.
Vijesh’s earlier experience includes a tenure as Chief Financial Officer and later as Principal Partner (Treasury & Credit Sales) at Reliance Home Finance Ltd., where he managed treasury operations, structured finance, and credit sales, building a reputation for driving financial innovation and efficiency. Previously, at Edelweiss (Real Estate Advisory Practice), he led origination and structuring for real estate deals, leveraging his deep knowledge of financial products and client relationships.
Prior to these roles, Vijesh spent nearly six years at Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited in various senior positions within Debt Capital Markets, honing his expertise in origination, structuring, and sales of complex financial instruments. He began his career at SBI Capital Markets Ltd. in project advisory and structured finance, followed by an early stint as Associate Consultant (Strategy & Change) at IBM, providing strategic insights to business clients.
Vijesh holds a PGDBM in Finance from the prestigious XLRI Jamshedpur.
