Gurugram, Haryana, India, February 2025 – Vikas Sharma has been appointed as Vice President, Talent Acquisition – Head of Early Careers (India/APAC) at Barclays, bringing extensive expertise in talent acquisition, campus hiring, and strategic workforce planning across diverse industries. In his new role, he will drive Barclays’ early careers recruitment strategy across India and the Asia-Pacific region, fostering young talent and strengthening the bank’s leadership pipeline.
Before joining Barclays, Vikas Sharma served as Recruitment Manager (L6) at Amazon, where he led India Fulfillment Center (INFC) talent acquisition for the North Cluster, focusing on high-volume hiring and strategic workforce planning. His expertise in scaling recruitment processes and driving employer branding initiatives contributed to Amazon’s continued expansion in India.
Prior to Amazon, he held the role of Associate Director – Talent Acquisition at KPMG Global Services (KGS), where he was responsible for campus and university relations, overseeing hiring from B-Schools and E-Schools, and managing large-scale graduate recruitment programs across the country. His experience in early careers hiring positioned him as a key leader in shaping KPMG’s talent pipeline.
Before his tenure at KPMG, Vikas Sharma spent four years at Amazon as a Recruitment Manager, focusing on BPO, ITES, BFSI, Pharma, and RPO hiring, where he played a pivotal role in pilot hiring, RFP/RFI projects, and ramp-ups for various business verticals.
He also held leadership roles at Fareportal as Senior Manager – Talent Acquisition and iYogi as Senior Manager – Talent Acquisition, managing frontline hiring, campus recruitment, and vendor management. Additionally, he worked at Wipro BPO as Manager – Talent Acquisition and IBM Daksh Business Process Services as Deputy Manager – Talent Acquisition, where he led specialized hiring projects, campus recruitment, and niche skill hiring.
