Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, November 2025 – Edme Insurance Brokers has announced the appointment of Vinod Krishnan as the Chief Executive Officer – Treaty Reinsurance Division, marking a major leadership addition as the firm strengthens its reinsurance operations and strategic capabilities. With over three decades of global experience in insurance and reinsurance, Vinod brings deep expertise in business growth, client management, and risk solutions across multiple geographies.
In his new role, Vinod will lead the scaling of Edme’s treaty reinsurance portfolio, foster strategic partnerships, and drive innovation in product design and service delivery. His appointment comes at a time when Edme is deepening its focus on building a resilient, customer-centric, and globally competitive reinsurance platform.
Prior to joining Edme Insurance Brokers, Vinod Krishnan served as Head of Reinsurance at Gallagher Re, where he was instrumental in expanding the firm’s reinsurance footprint across India and Southeast Asia. He played a key role in strengthening client partnerships, developing advanced risk solutions, and enhancing operational efficiency across regional markets.
Before Gallagher Re, Vinod held the position of Executive Director at J B Boda & Co (Singapore), where he led client relationship management and strategic business development initiatives in Asia’s reinsurance sector. His tenure at Guy Carpenter as Deputy CEO – South East Asia & Korea and at JLT Group as CEO – Asia, Reinsurance further solidified his reputation as a transformative leader in the global reinsurance space.
Earlier in his career, Vinod spent over 18 years with Aon Benfield, rising through various leadership roles including CEO – Asia, where he oversaw operations across multiple reinsurance hubs and drove growth through innovation, analytics, and client-focused strategy. His journey began at Mittare Insurance Public Company Limited in Bangkok, where he served as Head of Underwriting & Reinsurance, building the foundation of his expertise in risk assessment and reinsurance operations.
An alumnus of Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology (Sir MVIT), Bangalore, Vinod combines engineering precision with strategic leadership, leveraging his global experience across Singapore, Bangkok, and India to deliver performance-driven outcomes in complex market environments.
