Gurugram, Haryana, India, December 2024 – Vipin Kapooria has been named the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Blinkit, the quick commerce platform owned by Zomato. In his new role, Vipin will lead the financial strategy and operations to drive Blinkit’s growth and strengthen its market leadership in the e-commerce sector.
Vipin brings over two decades of financial expertise across various industries. Before joining Blinkit, he was the Vice President of Business Finance at Flipkart, where he played a pivotal role in managing financial strategies for high-revenue categories like mobiles, electronics, and large appliances. His tenure at Flipkart spanned six years, during which he held multiple senior finance leadership positions, including Senior Director – Business Finance.
At OYO, Vipin served as the BU CFO for new businesses, including self-operated hotels, homes, and co-working spaces, demonstrating his ability to manage diverse financial portfolios. Earlier in his career, he held key roles at organizations like Yum! Restaurants International, Whirlpool Corporation, and Birlasoft, focusing on financial planning, cost control, and treasury management. His career began with Birlasoft, where he rose to the position of Financial Controller – APAC.
