Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, April 2026 — Godrej Industries Group has announced that Vishal Sharma, CEO of Godrej Industries Limited (Chemicals), has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of Chairperson of ASTEC LIFESCIENCES LIMITED, marking a significant leadership transition within the group.
In this role, Vishal succeeds Nadir Godrej, reflecting both the organization’s confidence in his leadership and a strategic step toward strengthening ASTEC’s position as a leading CDMO player in the agrochemical and intermediate industry.
Currently serving as Executive Director and CEO at Godrej Industries Limited (Chemicals), Vishal Sharma has been instrumental in driving growth, operational excellence, and strategic transformation within the business.
Prior to joining the Godrej Group, he spent over nine years with Ecolab, where he held multiple senior leadership roles including Senior Vice President – India, Middle East and Africa, and Senior Vice President & General Manager, Asia Pacific. In these roles, he led large, diverse markets and was responsible for delivering strong business performance across regions.
Before Ecolab, Vishal had a long and impactful tenure at Diversey, where he served as Global Vice President and Managing Director – India & South East Asia, building and scaling businesses across international markets.
His earlier career includes leadership roles at Mecklai Commercial & Financial Services, GE Lighting, and Mafatlal Industries Limited, where he developed a strong foundation in sales, marketing, and business leadership.
Vishal Sharma holds a PGDM in Marketing from the Institute of Management Development and Research (IMDR), Pune, equipping him with strong business and strategic management capabilities.
