Malaysia, April 2026 — Yogendran Subramanium has joined Cargill as Director, Government Relations, Malaysia, marking an important milestone in his public policy and external affairs leadership journey. With a strong background across government relations, stakeholder engagement, external affairs, and policy advisory, he brings a well-rounded profile to his new role at the global food and agriculture company.
Before joining Cargill, Yogendran Subramanium was associated with the ASEAN Food and Beverage Alliance (AFBA) as Senior Advisor and with Food Industry Asia (FIA) as Regional Senior Manager. Prior to that, he served as Associate Director External Affairs – Head, External Affairs Malaysia at RELX International. These roles reflect his growing leadership across regional policy, industry advocacy, and government engagement.
Earlier, he worked with Heineken Malaysia Berhad as External Affairs Manager and with Hybrid Prospect as Government Affairs Specialist. He also held public sector roles with the Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia as Special Officer to Deputy Minister of Education and with the Parliament of Malaysia as Special Officer to Member of Parliament Hulu Selangor. Together, these assignments reflect a strong and progressive career across government affairs, public policy, external engagement, and institutional leadership.
