United Arab Emirates, May 2024 – Vidya Mudaliar has started a new position as Head of HR and L&D at PizzaExpress UAE. Vidya is thrilled to take on this new challenge and continue flourishing with the company.
Vidya Mudaliar has been with PizzaExpress UAE for over eight years. Before her current role, she served as Training Manager, where she led training initiatives, focusing on leadership, restaurant management, and training management. Vidya also held the position of Restaurant General Manager and Restaurant Manager, managing operations and ensuring high standards of service and customer satisfaction.
Prior to joining PizzaExpress UAE, Vidya was the Food and Beverage Manager at BONJOUR BONHEUR Ocean Spray in Puducherry, India. In this role, she was responsible for budget management, staff training, safety standards, customer service, and marketing activities. Vidya also assisted in developing wine sales programs and managing inventory.
Vidya also served as the General Manager – Projects at MEGHAVI Spalon & O Cafe in Hyderabad, India. She was instrumental in opening a unique spa salon and organic café, handling operations, interior design coordination, market research, and staff training. Her innovative approach and project management skills were key to the success of this venture.
Earlier in her career, Vidya held several positions at Taj Hotels in New Delhi. As the Manager – The Chambers, she managed exclusive facilities and handled high-profile members’ requests. As the Restaurant Manager of Wasabi by Morimoto, she specialized in Japanese cuisine and led a team to achieve high customer satisfaction and recognition.
