Toledo, Ohio, United States, June 2024 – Leslie Erwin has joined Owens Community College as the new Vice President Human Resources. With a rich background in human resources and compliance, Leslie brings extensive expertise to the team, aiming to enhance the college’s HR strategies and employee engagement.
Before joining Owens Community College, Leslie served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Heidelberg University for approximately 3 years. In this role, she was responsible for compensation review, talent management, employee engagement, and HR strategy, ensuring effective onboarding and relationship building across the executive team.
At Mercy College of Ohio, Leslie held various roles over nearly 12 years. As the Director of Compliance and Risk Management/Title IX Coordinator for approximately 5 years, she focused on HR strategy, policy development, and compliance. Additionally, she served as the Director of Career and Professional Development and Interim Title IX Coordinator, where she directed career-related efforts, presented professional development topics, and managed compliance responsibilities.
Leslie’s tenure at Chrysler LLC spanned over a decade, where she worked as an HR Generalist/Salary Administrator at the Toledo Assembly Complex for approximately 7 years and as an HR Generalist at the Toledo Machining Plant for approximately 2 years. Her roles involved various employment functions, talent management, employee engagement, and overseeing apprenticeship programs.
