Melbourne, Australia, June 2024 – Chari Hall has joined Flavorite Group as the new Chief People Officer. With extensive experience in human resources, leadership development, and employee engagement, Chari brings a wealth of expertise to the team, aiming to enhance the company’s HR strategies and support its workforce.
Before joining Flavorite Group, Chari served as the Head of People & Culture, Australia, NZ & Singapore at Vista for approximately 3 years. In this role, she partnered with the CEO and the Senior Executive Leadership team to design, develop, and deliver the strategy for People & Culture and Health & Safety across the ANZS market. She led a team of five direct reports and was responsible for talent acquisition, L&D, diversity, equity & inclusion, employee engagement, organisational design, workplace/industrial relations, performance management, talent & succession planning, compensation, remuneration and benefits, workforce planning, and enterprise agreement negotiations.
Prior to her tenure at Vista, Chari worked at Woolworths Supermarkets for 4 years. She served as the State Culture & People Manager VIC/TAS, where she supported 38,000 team members across 278 stores and led a team of nine direct reports. Her responsibilities included effective delivery of people strategies to support commercial outcomes, crisis management, talent development, leadership coaching, and managing union relationships.
Chari also held the role of HR Manager at Woolworths Meat Company VIC, where she provided strategic and tactical HR leadership, coaching, and guidance to the manufacturing/production organisation. She led a team of two direct reports and focused on aligning performance, capability, engagement, and talent initiatives with business strategy.
Earlier in her career, Chari was the HR Manager at SodaStream Australia, responsible for developing and implementing HR programs aligned with business strategy. She managed recruitment, salary and benefits, training and development, performance management, team building, policy recommendation, and OH&S.
Chari began her HR career as a Recruitment Advisor at Forever New Clothing Pty Ltd, managing end-to-end recruitment processes for head office departments and some international retail roles. She also worked as an HR Generalist/Recruitment at Manpower Australia, providing quality candidates to blue-collar and white-collar clients, and later account-managing Woolworths Distribution Centre.
Chari’s international experience includes her role as a Regional HR Manager at NOVA in Japan.
