Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, July, 2024 — Mekong Capital is delighted to announce the appointment of Vuong Thi Huyen Nga as Chief People Officer. This marks a significant step in our focus and core investment in building world-class leadership and management teams and developing the next generation of leaders.
Before joining Mekong Capital, Nga held country leader and senior HR leadership roles at global and big local companies such as Navigos Group, Odgers Berndtson, RGF Executive Search (Recruit Group), Talentnet, and EQuest Group. She has over 28 years of international experience in Recruiting, Headhunting, Education & Training, Talent & Culture Development, HR Advisory Services, and Business Management across markets in Vietnam, the Netherlands, and South-East Asia. Additionally, Nga is known for her strategic thinking and ability to drive organizational transformation, successfully executing large-scale HR transformation projects to drive high performance for these businesses.
Nga’s role at Mekong Capital focuses on strengthening our talent acquisition and leadership development processes. Since joining in March 2024, her leadership and vision have led to a dramatic transformation. She has significantly enhanced our recruiting team’s effectiveness, improving by 40% within a 6-month timeframe. By the end of May 2024, Mekong Capital’s talent acquisition team not only met but exceeded these KPIs, setting a new market standard for recruiting C-level talent in Vietnam.
“I acknowledge the remarkable contributions Nga has made in a relatively short period. At the end of August 2023, I was hearing why it was ‘impossible’ to hit our KPIs per month per recruiter. Fast forward to May 2024, and I am now asking the team to ‘slow down’ because we’ve set a new benchmark for what’s possible in the market. Nga and her team have powered through challenges, embraced continuous learning, and delivered outstanding performance. With her, we can add substantial value to our investees by supporting them in building world-class leadership and management teams. We now have a strong capability assessment framework that she helped implement, leading key C-level recruitments that have already had a significant impact.”
Max-F. Scheichenost, Partner at Mekong Capital
“I am honored to be part of Mekong Capital and to contribute to our mission of building world-class leadership and management teams. The progress we’ve made in such a short time is a testament to the dedication and resilience of our team. I look forward to continuing this journey and achieving even greater milestones together.”
