Carol Madden has been with Wincanton for approximately 28 years, demonstrating unwavering commitment and leadership in various HR roles. In her current position as Head of Employee and Industrial Relations & Corporate Business Partner, she leads the company’s HR strategies, focusing on legal compliance, employee relations, and supporting growth through operational and development initiatives.
Prior to this promotion, Carol served as Head of Employee and Industrial Relations for about 3 years and 11 months. In this role, she developed and delivered Wincanton’s employee relations strategy and ensured compliance with HR policies and procedures across all sites. She also held the role of Head of Employee Relations and Change for approximately 7 years and 11 months, where she managed HR policy, procedural governance, and change programs.
Carol’s extensive career at Wincanton includes roles such as Head of HR – Manufacturing, Senior HR Business Partner, HR Business Partner – Central Operations, HR Business Partner, Contract HR Manager, Central HR Manager, Regional HR Manager, Site HR Manager, HR Manager, HR and Training Manager, Recruitment and Training Manager, and Graduate Management Trainee – HR.
