Yangon, Myanmar, May 2025 – Min Oo has officially taken over as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Myanmar Citizens Bank – MCB, following a nearly six-year journey within the organization. As CHRO, Min Oo will lead the bank’s human capital transformation and spearhead initiatives to enhance workforce engagement, leadership development, HR digitalization, and organizational excellence across MCB’s 1,000+ strong team.
Min Oo has been instrumental in shaping MCB’s HR vision over the past several years. Prior to his elevation, he served as Senior Vice President – Head of HR, where he led the HR function during a critical phase of growth and modernization. His contributions were pivotal in aligning HR strategy with business transformation and supporting MCB’s expansion into retail and corporate banking.
Earlier in his tenure at MCB, he held the role of Senior Vice President – Head of HR, Admin and Procurement, and before that, served as Vice President – Deputy Head of HR, laying a strong foundation for process integration, workforce planning, and compliance.
Before joining MCB, Min Oo was HR General Manager at UMG Myanmar, where he led the Corporate Human & Learning Division. He also worked as an HR Business Partner at KHG Holdings, gaining valuable experience in cross-functional talent strategy. His earlier career in Singapore includes leadership stints at ISS Facility Services and Success Construction, giving him a well-rounded perspective on regional business and people practices.
