Elaine Cooper Joins Digital Barriers as Chief People Officer

London, England, United Kingdom, July 2024 – Elaine Cooper has started a new position as the Chief People Officer at Digital Barriers. In her new role, Elaine will be responsible for leading the People Strategy, focusing on organizational design, talent acquisition, and HR capabilities to support the company’s growth and innovation.

Elaine Cooper joins Digital Barriers from her role as an HR Consultant / Director at Elaine Cooper HR Consulting. During her tenure, she worked with various boards and C-suites, offering extensive HR and People knowledge to businesses of all sizes. She supported transformational change, new organizational designs, and intricate talent reviews, gaining cross-sector exposure and building a strong client network.

Prior to her consulting role, Elaine served as the Head of People at ThirdSpace. She was appointed to set up the company for growth, including an organizational redesign of the operations function and a talent review program. Following the acquisition of ThirdSpace by TiG Data Intelligence, Elaine played a significant role in due diligence and created a people acquisition integration plan and a new people strategy to minimize impact and drive growth.

Elaine also held a significant position at Groupon as the EMEA HR Director, Goods, Retail Services, and Commercial Operations. In this role, she successfully handled all the people aspects of the EMEA Goods business. She led positive changes, such as an improved competency framework, establishing a Goods Coaching Academy, and cultural enhancements that reduced overall attrition and elevated mobility and employee engagement.

Earlier in her career, Elaine gained valuable experience in various HR roles at companies such as Globalclick, LE MANS HOLDINGS LIMITED, Confused.com, FIS Software, and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Her extensive background in HR and organizational development has equipped her with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in managing people and culture across different industries.
