Portland, Oregon, United States – November 2024 – Kaiser Permanente Northwest has appointed Megan Sarvela as the new Director, Human Resources Business Partner. In her new role, Megan will work closely with senior and executive leadership to shape and drive people strategies aligned with the organization’s mission and operational goals. She will lead a team of HR consultants, ensuring that Kaiser Permanente’s workforce is strategically positioned to support its vision of high-quality, affordable healthcare.
Megan joins Kaiser Permanente with a wealth of experience, most recently as Head of Human Resources at Prestige Care. Over her nearly nine-year tenure at Prestige, she led the HR department and played an integral role in aligning HR initiatives with corporate strategy across 75+ Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living Communities, supporting a team of over 5,500 employees in eight states. Her leadership was instrumental in driving employee engagement, managing complex labor relations, and fostering a culture of excellence.
Prior to this, Megan served as Senior HR Business Partner at Prestige Care, where she supported executive leaders and managed multi-state employment law compliance. She also has extensive experience in union negotiations and played a key role in strategic HR functions across numerous healthcare communities. Earlier in her career, she served as Human Resource Business Partner and Staffing Manager, further honing her skills in workforce management and HR consulting. Additionally, Megan held an operational leadership role at Catholic Community Services, where she led a team in Children’s Crisis Behavioral Health.
