Gurucharan Singh Gandhi Appointed as Chief Human Resource Officer at Vodafone Idea Limited

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, February 2025 – Gurucharan Singh Gandhi has been appointed as Chief Human Resource Officer at Vodafone Idea Limited, effective April 1, 2025. He succeeds Suvamoy Roy Choudhary, who will retire on March 31, 2025. In this role, Gurucharan will lead Vodafone Idea’s HR strategies, focusing on talent development, organizational growth, and employee engagement to drive the company’s long-term business objectives.

Prior to joining Vodafone Idea Limited, Gurucharan Singh Gandhi served as Head HR, Madura Fashion and Lifestyle at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd., where he was responsible for talent strategy, leadership development, and workforce transformation. His five-year tenure was marked by successful HR initiatives that strengthened the company’s employee experience and business agility.

Before that, he was Head – Learning and Development at Aditya Birla Capital, where he played a pivotal role in shaping enterprise-wide learning programs, leadership training, and performance management frameworks for over five years.

His earlier experience includes serving as Head – Change Management at Max Life Insurance, where he led large-scale transformation and training programs, ensuring smooth organizational transitions. He also held key HR leadership roles at Bharti AXA Life Insurance and Nicholas Piramal India Limited, building expertise in training, distribution management, and organizational effectiveness.
