Gurugram, Haryana, India, February 2025 – Avishek Roy has joined Perfetti Van Melle as the Human Resources Director, India. With a rich career spanning over two decades, he brings a wealth of expertise in talent management, leadership development, HR transformation, and culture-building. In his new role, he will oversee HR strategies to strengthen organizational growth, enhance employee engagement, and drive talent excellence across the company’s operations in India.
Before joining Perfetti Van Melle, Avishek Roy was with McCormick & Company, where he served as Director HR – India and South East Asia. He played a critical role in aligning HR strategies with business objectives while leading talent management initiatives across multiple countries. Under his leadership, McCormick won the HR Excellence Award for Best HR Innovation for successfully driving cultural and structural transformations across regions. Prior to this, he was the HR Director – India, responsible for driving business-centric HR solutions and workforce strategies.
Before McCormick, Avishek spent over seven years at PepsiCo, where he held multiple HR leadership roles. As Associate Director – HR (PepsiCo Franchise and NourishCo India), he led talent strategies, workforce planning, and leadership development across PepsiCo’s franchise businesses in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. He also served as Head of Learning & Development, driving key capability-building programs and talent development initiatives. His contributions earned him PepsiCo’s prestigious Global Harvey C. Russell Inclusion Award for advancing diversity and inclusion strategies.
Earlier, he worked at GE as Head HR – Measurement & Control Solutions & Digital Energy India, where he led organizational transformation and HR strategy for multiple business divisions. He also played a key role in HR digitization, organizational development, and leadership coaching at Essar Steel as HR Manager.
Avishek holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resources Management from Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), a premier institution known for shaping HR leaders.
