Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, April 2025 — Clement Michael has taken on the role of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) – Insurance Business Unit at Capgemini, marking a significant leadership advancement in his nearly 17-year career in information security and IT infrastructure management. This appointment is a testament to his deep domain expertise and long-standing contributions to Capgemini’s global operations.
In his new role, Clement is responsible for strengthening the security posture of Capgemini’s insurance business portfolio. His focus spans governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), cloud security, and DevSecOps strategies, ensuring security resilience for major financial services clients.
Prior to this elevation, Clement served as Information Security Manager at Capgemini for over a decade. Based in Chennai, he oversaw GRC programs for four major financial clients and was instrumental in implementing ISO 27001 standards, audit protocols, and cloud-integrated security practices.
Earlier, he managed offshore support operations as Production Support Manager, leading a 14-member team in ensuring high-availability IT environments. His technical leadership was also pivotal during the datacenter migration project at Capgemini UK, where he oversaw infrastructure integration following the acquisition of Strategic System Solutions.
Clement began his journey at Capgemini as a Network Engineer and Senior Network Engineer, managing LAN/WAN infrastructure, project implementation, and stakeholder engagement for business-critical systems. His early career in desktop support at Change Technologies laid the foundation for his IT operations expertise.
