Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India – May 2025 – Redington, one of the fastest-growing and most respected technology solutions providers across emerging markets, has announced the appointment of Vijay Swaminathan as its Global Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
In his new role, Vijay will lead Redington’s global HR function, guiding people strategy, talent development, and organizational culture across more than 40 countries where Redington operates. His appointment underscores the company’s commitment to advancing its human capital practices as it continues to scale and evolve into a next-generation technology distribution and solutions company.
Vijay Swaminathan joins Redington from Citigroup, where he spent over 19 years in a range of senior HR leadership roles across South Asia and ASEAN. Most recently, he served as Head of Human Resources – India, Global Capability Centers (GCCs) and Head of Labor Relations for the Asia (South) Cluster.
During his tenure at Citi, Vijay played a pivotal role in scaling the India GCCs to over 30,000 employees, transforming them into a world-class global talent hub. He was instrumental in building strong people capabilities and high-performing teams across diverse geographies, while driving impactful HR transformation and alignment with global business strategy.
With over two decades of HR leadership, Vijay is known for his expertise in employee advocacy, wellness, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). His leadership is deeply rooted in fostering inclusive, engaging, and performance-driven cultures—traits that align with Redington’s strategic focus on people, purpose, and performance.
