Gatineau, Quebec, Canada, January 2026 — The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) has appointed Alain Pelletier as Chief Human Resources Officer. Based in Gatineau, Quebec, Alain will lead the Commission’s people strategy, workforce planning, and HR governance as CRTC continues to strengthen Canada’s communications ecosystem.
Alain Pelletier joins CRTC following his role as Directeur de l’expérience client at Indigenous Services Canada (Services aux Autochtones Canada), where he spent close to two years driving client experience initiatives within a complex federal services environment.
Prior to that, Alain built deep HR leadership capability over more than ten years at Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED). During this tenure, he progressed through multiple senior HR mandates including Director, Recruitment and Staffing Center of Expertise, Directeur et partenaire d’affaires, and Gestionnaire, opérations RH, contributing to national staffing strategies, business partnering, and HR operations across the Greater Ottawa region.
Earlier in his career, Alain spent over eleven years with the Government of Canada, serving as Chief, Corporate Staffing and earlier as an HR Advisor, strengthening federal staffing frameworks and corporate HR governance.
