Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, May 2025 – Anand Balakrishnan has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer (Designate) at Happiest Minds Technologies, marking a pivotal moment in the company’s leadership evolution. With more than 20 years of experience in financial management, strategic planning, and business transformation, Anand joins Happiest Minds during a critical phase of growth and operational scaling.
Prior to this appointment, Anand was the CEO and Managing Director at Mindteck, where he played a key role in driving profitability, operational efficiency, and long-term strategic planning. His leadership at Mindteck also included earlier roles as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, highlighting his versatility across financial governance and executive management.
Before Mindteck, Anand served as Controller at Wipro GE Healthcare, where he oversaw financial operations in a complex joint venture environment. His previous leadership roles include Head of Specialized Accounting at Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) India, where he established a Finance Center of Excellence supporting global subsidiaries and operations.
Anand also held the role of AVP – Financial Control at TAIB Bank in Bahrain, where he was responsible for group financial reporting and regulatory compliance, including Basel II reporting. Earlier in his career, he was associated with KPMG (Oman) and PwC in audit roles, gaining deep expertise in IFRS, group consolidations, and financial statement audits across sectors like oil & gas, telecom, and manufacturing.
A Chartered Accountant by qualification, Anand brings with him a holistic view of finance and business performance. His appointment is aimed at strengthening Happiest Minds’ financial governance as the company continues to scale globally. Outside of his professional achievements, Anand is a passionate marathon runner and travel enthusiast, reflecting his dynamic and balanced leadership style.
