Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, June 2025 – Surender Pal Singh Unzan has joined Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Limited as the new Head of Learning & Organizational Development (OD). In his new role, Surender will be leading the organization’s strategic learning initiatives and capability-building programs across sales, resorts, and corporate functions, with a mission to unlock human potential and align talent with business transformation.
Prior to joining Mahindra Holidays, Surender spent nearly seven years at Jio, where he led Talent, Learning & Organizational Effectiveness for the FTTH vertical. He was instrumental in advancing employee development, engagement, and cultural effectiveness across one of India’s most dynamic telecom environments.
Before that, he was associated with Goalcast as a Chief Mentor & HR Consultant, where he provided strategic HR, L&D, and organizational consulting services to SMEs across the United States, GCC countries, and India.
Surender earlier served as Head of Talent, Learning & OD at Landmark Group, overseeing learning and organizational strategy across multiple countries in the MENA region, including the UAE, KSA, Qatar, Oman, and Egypt. He led enterprise-wide programs to enhance leadership, culture, and performance effectiveness across the Lifestyle Formats Division.
He also held leadership roles at BESTSELLER and The Times of India, where he was responsible for driving talent development and L&D strategies across diverse brands and business units. At Future Group India, he spearheaded learning and talent initiatives for major retail formats such as Big Bazaar and Central. He began his corporate HR journey with Kotak Life, where he managed HR and learning systems in the retail banking segment.
