In her expanded leadership capacity, Doris will oversee all aspects of HR and safety, contributing to the company’s ongoing commitment to operational excellence and workforce well-being.
Doris has been a dedicated member of Southern Concrete Materials, Inc for nearly nine years, previously serving as Director of HR and Safety since September 2024 and as Human Resources Manager for almost nine years. Her tenure reflects her deep knowledge of the organization’s people, safety culture, and regulatory environment, making her a vital leader for Southern Concrete’s future.
Prior to joining Southern Concrete Materials, Doris held the role of Office Manager/Load Planner/Dispatcher at Williams Trucking in Asheville, North Carolina, for over twelve years. In this position, she managed a wide range of office operations, including HR, accounting, dispatch, marketing, and regulatory compliance.
Before her time at Williams Trucking, Doris spent an impressive thirty years as Human Resource Generalist/Medical Coordinator at Meritor in Fletcher, North Carolina, further developing her expertise in human resources management.
Her professional journey began with early roles as QA at Rockwell International and as a Federal Civil Service Worker in the US Army for six years.
