Alice Sturza Appointed Head of People Development and Culture at Age UK

London, United Kingdom, June 2025 — Alice Sturza has been elevated to the position of Head of People Development and Culture at Age UK, the UK’s largest charity dedicated to supporting older people. This appointment marks a significant milestone in Alice’s impactful journey at the organisation, where she has served in various progressive roles over the past six years.

Prior to her elevation, Alice was serving as Interim Head of People Development and Culture since October 2024. In this capacity, she provided strategic leadership in learning, development, and wellbeing, steering the organisation through key change initiatives and workforce transformation programs.

Between June 2023 and October 2024, she held the position of Talent Development and Wellbeing Senior Manager, where she was responsible for the strategic direction and implementation of people-centric programmes, including wellbeing strategies and leadership development across the charity. Her tenure was marked by innovative approaches to culture building and inclusion.

Earlier roles at Age UK included People Development Advisor (Team Manager), People Development Advisor, and People Development Coordinator, where she designed and led multiple employee development initiatives. Her dedication to employee experience and her commitment to fostering a purpose-driven workplace have consistently earned recognition within the organisation.

Before joining Age UK, Alice worked at Harrods for over four years, where she began as a Sales Associate and rose to become Assistant Manager at Chai Wu. Notably, she completed a secondment with the Harrods Learning & Development team, which sparked her transition into the HR and people development space. She also served as Operations Supervisor, gaining hands-on experience in leadership and service excellence.

Alice holds CIPD Level 3 and Associate Level 5 credentials and is widely regarded for her strengths in change management, team leadership, strategic planning, and employee wellbeing.
