Smith has announced the appointment of Keith William Minnis as Interim Chief Human Resources Officer and Senior Human Resources Executive Consultant. In this leadership role, Keith will play a pivotal part in steering HR transformation efforts, supporting healthcare leadership development, and helping clients optimize talent strategy in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.
Prior to this appointment, Keith served as Chief People Officer at Norman Regional Health System for nearly three years, where he led enterprise-wide people strategies including talent acquisition, DEI, succession planning, and performance management. He also oversaw Safety & Security, Pharmacy, Occupational Medicine, and was a key driver of engagement and inclusion initiatives across the organization.
Earlier, he held the position of Corporate Vice President at American Health Staffing Group, where he led strategic engagement for interim leadership staffing and also served as the face of the organization through multimedia outreach including podcasts, whitepapers, and advisory councils.
Previously, Keith was Vice President of Human Resources at INTEGRIS Health, where he oversaw talent management, HR operations, shared services, compensation, wellness programs, and more. His strong emphasis on holistic care and employee well-being was evident throughout his leadership approach.
In his tenure at Ascension and Mercy, Keith served as Regional Vice President of HR, leading large, multi-state HR operations and developing national strategies for contingent labor and workforce optimization. His earlier roles at Baylor Scott & White Health, Norman Regional Health System, and Charter Behavioral Health have contributed to his robust 30+ years of experience in healthcare HR leadership, making him a trusted advisor and transformative leader in the space.
