Kim Albertario Appointed as Head of People & Learning at Burning Man Project

San Francisco, California, United States, July 2025 – Kim Albertario has taken on the role of Head of People & Learning at Burning Man Project, a nonprofit known for stewarding one of the world’s most iconic participatory cultural movements. In her new role, she will lead talent development, organizational culture, and people strategy aligned with Burning Man’s 10 Principles and community-centric values.

Before joining Burning Man Project, Kim Albertario served as VP of People at OXIO, where she oversaw strategic HR functions and organizational development. She brought deep expertise in employee relations, compensation strategy, global talent acquisition, and HR compliance, driving transformation across a fast-scaling tech organization.

Prior to OXIO, she was Sr. Director of Global People Operations at SuperAnnotate, where she led global HR operations, PEO structures, and learning & development programs. Her work focused on scaling people infrastructure, optimizing HR systems, and embedding a culture of trust and performance across international teams.

Earlier, Kim held people leadership roles at Swift Navigation and Lightning Bolt Solutions, where she directed people operations and performance systems, contributed to post-acquisition integration, and implemented workplace safety and well-being strategies. She also served in HR leadership positions at Konica Minolta and Bluescape, contributing to talent planning, compliance, and policy development.

Her foundational HR journey began at Unique Auto Group, where she was Co-owner and HR/Administration Manager, and Capitol USA, where she was HR Manager. These experiences gave her a strong foundation in people leadership, labor compliance, payroll, training, and building agile people-first organizations.
