Yokohama, Japan, September 2025 – Jayakumar David has been elevated to General Manager, Global Talent Management at Nissan Motor Corporation, headquartered in Yokohama, Japan. In this global leadership role, he will oversee talent management strategy, leadership development, and workforce initiatives across Nissan’s worldwide operations.
Jayakumar has been with Nissan Motor Corporation for nearly five years. Based in Dubai, he most recently served as Human Resources Director for the AMIO Region and as Director, Talent Management and Learning & Development for the AMIEO Region. In these roles, he played a pivotal part in shaping talent strategy, advancing leadership capabilities, and driving people development across diverse geographies.
Before joining Nissan, Jayakumar was Alliance HR Director – India at Renault Nissan India and Vice President Human Resources at Renault Nissan Technology & Business Centre India. Over four years, he provided HR leadership in both corporate and technology environments, enhancing HR frameworks and employee experience for the Alliance in India.
Earlier, he served as Head – Human Resources at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, where he managed strategic HR, talent planning, and employee development for a zonal region. Prior to that, he spent nearly nine years at Siemens Technology & Services, where he led people excellence practices, talent transformation initiatives, and industrial relations, establishing HR systems that supported large-scale organizational growth.
Jayakumar began his career with foundational HR roles at Kennametal India, Strides Arcolab, and Shahi Exports, gaining expertise in industrial relations, compliance, employee engagement, and talent management. His academic background includes an MSW in Human Resources Management from the University of Madras, equipping him with strong fundamentals in people management.
