Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, October 2025 – Vodafone Idea Limited has announced the appointment of Tejas Mehta as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective October 6, 2025. With an illustrious career spanning over 25 years in finance leadership across global FMCG and consumer industries, Mehta’s appointment comes at a strategic time as Vodafone Idea focuses on strengthening its financial leadership and accelerating its business transformation in India’s telecom sector.
Before joining Vodafone Idea, Tejas Mehta spent over 23 years at Mondelēz International, where he most recently served as Vice President Finance for Mondelez India and CFO for the India Business Unit. In this role, he was instrumental in driving financial performance, strengthening business partnerships, and enabling sustainable growth.
Over his long tenure with Mondelēz, Mehta held several senior finance leadership positions across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, and Eastern Europe, including regional assignments in Singapore and Turkey. As Vice President – Supply Chain Finance for AMEA, he played a pivotal role in streamlining financial operations across multiple markets and building strategic finance capabilities to support large-scale business objectives.
Earlier in his career, Mehta worked with Marico Limited, where he gained strong foundational experience in treasury management, investor relations, and plant finance. His early exposure to financial operations and capital management laid the groundwork for his later success in global leadership roles.
With a proven track record in strategic finance, global operations, and performance transformation, Mehta brings deep expertise to Vodafone Idea’s leadership team. His appointment is expected to bolster the company’s long-term focus on profitability, innovation, and financial resilience in a highly competitive telecom market.
