Herndon, Virginia, United States, October 2025 — BlackSky, a global leader in real-time space-based intelligence and geospatial analytics, has announced the appointment of Lyn Chassagne as Chief Marketing and Product Officer. In this expanded leadership role, Lyn will oversee global marketing, product innovation, and customer success initiatives, driving the company’s mission to deliver high-frequency satellite imagery and actionable insights to customers worldwide.
Lyn has been an integral part of BlackSky for nearly three years, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Go to Market (Product, Customer Success, Marketing). In this role, she successfully aligned marketing, product, and customer engagement functions to support BlackSky’s growth across government and commercial markets. Prior to that, she held the position of Senior Vice President, Customer Experience, Marketing and Communications, where she led enterprise-wide customer and brand strategies during a period of significant expansion and innovation.
Before joining BlackSky, Lyn served at Maxar Technologies for over five years, where she advanced through leadership roles including Senior Director of Global Marketing & Brand Strategy. Her tenure at Maxar saw her lead global rebranding efforts, marketing integration during mergers and acquisitions, and thought leadership programs that strengthened the company’s global presence in the space and intelligence sectors.
Earlier in her career, Lyn spent nearly a decade at United Launch Alliance (ULA) as External Communications Leader, managing brand visibility and media strategy for high-profile space missions. Her diverse career also includes senior marketing positions at Cbeyond, Academic Financial Services, and Premier Entertainment, as well as early experience as a Broadcast Producer at Fox News Media and Video Editor at Big Idea Entertainment.
With more than 20 years of experience spanning marketing, communications, and product strategy across aerospace, defense, and media industries, Lyn brings a unique blend of creativity, strategic insight, and technical understanding to her new role at BlackSky. Her leadership will be key in integrating marketing and product innovation to strengthen BlackSky’s competitive edge in space-based intelligence.
